Anything missing goes to hello@lazysundayhaus.com, where a person reads it.
A block is the base pattern a garment is drafted from. Ours come in three: women’s (narrower shoulder, longer back), men’s (longer body, set-in sleeve) and unisex (relaxed, between the two). Every product page says which block it is on, and the size guide has a measurement table for each. Anyone can buy from any block; the label is about the shape, not the person.
Down for anything knitted that stretches - the rib roll-necks, the long-sleeve tee, the socks. Up for the flannel shirts, because woven cloth does not give. For the sweatshirts, hoodies and joggers, take your usual size: the relaxed fit is already in the pattern, and the oversized pieces are cut two sizes up before they reach you.
Within a block, yes, to the centimetre. A size M Sunday Crew and a size M Sunday Jogger are drafted on the same unisex block and dyed in the same bath. Across blocks they differ on purpose, which is why the page tells you which block each piece is on.
A little, and the page says how much. Loopback and brushed cotton lose about 3% in length on the first wash, waffle about 4%; every piece is cut long to allow for it, so buy your usual size. Wool blends do not shrink if washed at 30 °C on a wool cycle; they felt if washed hotter, which is not the same thing and is not reversible.
Polyester fleece pills into hard beads that never come off, holds smell after a single wear and sheds plastic fibre into the water every time it is washed. Brushed cotton is heavier and slower to dry, pills softly for a few washes and then stops, and composts at the end. We chose the second set of problems. The about page goes into it.
No. Brushing raises loose fibres to make the nap; for the first three or four washes some of them roll into pills or come away as lint. Wash it inside out and it is over sooner. A fabric comb lifts the early ones. It is written on every brushed product page before you buy.
Same cloth, different finish. Loopback leaves the inside as small loops of yarn: drier, firmer, never pills, softens over about a year. Brushed-back runs that loopback over wire brushes until the loops become a soft nap: warm and soft immediately, pills a little at first. The Relaxed Hoodie is loopback; the Everyday Hoodie is brushed. The care guide sets the fibres out side by side.
They felted, which happens when wool goes above 30 °C or into a tumble dryer. Every wool piece here says 30 °C, wool cycle, dry flat on the page and on the inside tab. Felting cannot be undone. If it happened on a 30 °C wool cycle, write to us anyway and we will look at the batch.
Garment dyeing colours the finished piece, so the seams take the dye a shade darker and no two are identical. The shades also soften over the first dozen washes. If you want a colour that stays exactly as it arrived, choose a yarn-dyed piece like the flannels or the grey marl.
Construction: seams that open, cuffs or ribbing that lose their spring, hems that come undone, drawcords that fray out, buttons that come off. For 2 years from delivery, under normal wear and the care on the page. We repair it if we can and replace it if we cannot, and we pay postage both ways.
Pilling, shrinkage inside the figure stated on the page, colour softening on garment-dyed pieces, felting from a hot wash or a dryer, snags on rough surfaces, holes worn through at the heel of a sock after a couple of winters, and moth damage. That is the fibre doing what the page said it would do.
No. Tell us roughly when you bought it and what has happened, with a photograph. We can find most orders from an email address, and if we cannot we will take your word for it.
No. You have a two-year right under EU and Dutch law to goods that conform to the contract, whatever this site says. The seam guarantee sits alongside that and adds to it, and the returns page says so in full.
Orders placed before 14:00 Amsterdam time on a working day leave Haarlem that afternoon. Later than that, the next morning. A tracking link arrives when the label is printed.
No. Returns need to be unworn and unwashed, within 30 days of delivery. Try it on over what you are wearing; walk around the flat in it; but do not sleep in it. If it fails after you have worn it, that is the guarantee, not a return.
Socks only in their unopened band; once the band is off they are yours. Beanies can come back if unworn.
To the United Kingdom, Switzerland and Norway. Import duty and local VAT are collected by the carrier on delivery in those countries and are not in our price. Inside the EU, the price on the page is the price you pay plus shipping.
No. FIRSTSUNDAY10 is 10% off a first order with no minimum; SUNDAY15 is 15% off a basket of €120,00 or more. One code per order, and neither applies on top of a final-colour reduction.
