Twelve stitches to the inch, so it is thin enough to layer and warm enough on its own in a heated room. The rib stretches to fit a range of bodies, which is why it is the one roll-neck we cut on a single unisex block. A folded collar rather than a roll, sleeves that reach the wrist bone.

Fine merino pills under the arms and where a bag strap rubs. A fabric comb takes it off; a dryer makes it worse.
