Heavy enough to be the outer layer in autumn, soft enough to sit indoors in. Boxy through the body, a wide armhole so a hoodie goes under it, two patch pockets at the chest and a straight hem. The check is cream and brown with a fine black line.
At this weight flannel is slow to dry and heavy when wet. It is also too warm for a heated office; it is a shirt for walking, gardens and cold kitchens.
