Cut on the women's block and then lengthened to the mid-thigh, with side splits so it moves when you sit down. The hem is a plain turned edge rather than a rib, which is what lets it hang straight instead of gathering. The inside is brushed, so it is soft from the first wear.
Brushed cotton pills lightly for the first three or four washes as the loose fibres come away, and then stops. Wash it inside out and that period is shorter.
